Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity by Peter Attia
The most comprehensive and accessible book on longevity science published to date. Required reading for anyone serious about aging well.
Best For
Anyone who wants a thorough, evidence-based understanding of longevity science and practical application.
Worth Noting
Dense reading at 400+ pages. Some medical terminology, though Attia explains it well. Not a quick-tips book.

Our Review
Dr. Peter Attia spent years as a longevity-focused physician before writing this book, and the depth of his clinical experience shows on every page. Outlive is not another pop-science health book. It is a rigorous, detailed framework for thinking about the diseases and decline patterns that define aging, and what can be done about each one.
The book covers cardiovascular disease, cancer, neurodegenerative disease, and metabolic dysfunction with a level of nuance rarely found in consumer health writing. Attia is honest about what we know, what we suspect, and what remains uncertain.
The sections on exercise as medicine and emotional health are particularly strong. Attia makes a compelling case that the combination of strength training, cardiovascular fitness, stability work, and nutritional awareness represents the most powerful longevity intervention available to any individual.
